Some moments pass quietly.
Others arrive with the kind of weight you know you’ll remember forever.
Photography allows us to return to those moments.
Not just to see them
again, but to
Hi, I’m Alyssa.
I believe photographs are more than documentation. They’re the way we return to a moment long after it has passed.
My work lives somewhere between observation and artistry, capturing emotion as it unfolds and preserving it with intention. Every image is created with the hope that years from now, it will still carry the same feeling it did the day it was taken.
Because the most meaningful moments in life deserve to last.
Over time, I’ve realized that the way I see love and memory has been shaped by the people closest to me, especially my grandparents. Watching their life together taught me something simple but powerful: love isn’t always loud or extravagant.
Sometimes it’s quiet. Steady. Lasting.
It shows up in the way two people grow together over decades, in the way they continue choosing each other long after the excitement of the beginning has passed.
Because when the music fades and the day becomes memory, photographs are what allow us to return to it.
And that, to me, is the real purpose of this work.
Sometimes they arrive as a celebration surrounded by the people you love most. Other times they live in quieter seasons — a growing family, a new chapter, a fleeting moment you realize you want to remember.
Photography allows us to pause time for just a second.
My approach is rooted in observation and intention, allowing moments to unfold naturally while shaping them with an artist’s eye. The result is imagery that feels honest, effortless, and lasting — photographs created not just for today, but for the years that follow.
Outside of photography, my life is filled with the people and moments that matter most to me.
I live in Lawrence with my boyfriend Eddie and our two dogs, Rocky and Zeke — who keep life entertaining and slightly chaotic in the best way. A lot of our weekends revolve around KU games, spending time with family, or just enjoying being home together.
During the week, you’ll usually find me balancing life between my photography work and my role with a local real estate team. I’ve always been someone who loves building things — whether that’s a business, a creative vision, or the kind of life that feels meaningful day to day.
Photography has been a constant through all of it. It’s the way I’ve learned to slow down and pay attention — to the emotion in a room, the connection between people, and the moments that quietly become part of our story.
